Making the Secret Work For You

The law of attraction has been all over the media lately from Oprah, Ellen to Larry King. And everyone is talking about it... Just the other day, at my favorite health food store, I overheard two people speaking about The Secret on Oprah. I love to being part of it. If you haven't heard of Michael Losier, yet....you will. His book "The Law of Attraction" is the #6 best-selling book on Amazon.com. He's going to be speaking at the next Liberty Conference coming up in Cancun, Mexico in March of 2007. If you haven't had a chance to experience Michael, enjoy the video below of him speaking at one of his workshops. The Secret by Rhonda Byrne as shown on Oprah and Local News

Part I - The Seven Decisions That Determine Personal Growth

1. The Buck Stops Here – I am responsible for my past and my future.
Never again will I blame my parents, my boss, or other employees for my present situation. Neither my education nor lack of one, my genetics, or the circumstantial ebb and flow of everyday life will affect my future in a negative way. If I allow myself to blame these uncontrollable forces for my lack of success, I will be forever caught in a web of the past. I will look forward. I will not let my history control my destiny. I accept responsibility for my past. I am responsible for my success. My decisions have always been governed by my thinking. Therefore, I am where I am today-mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially – because of how I think. Today I will begin the process of changing where I am –by changing the way I think.
My thoughts will be constructive, never destructive. My mind will live in the solution of the future. It will not dwell in the problems of the past. I will seek the association of those who are working and striving to bring about positive changes in the world. I will never seek comfort by associating with those who have decided to be comfortable.
When faced with an opportunity to make a decision-I will make one. I understand that God did not put in me the ability to always make right decisions. He did, however, put in me the ability to make a decision and then make it right. The rise and fall of my emotional tide will not deter me from my course. When I make a decision I will stand behind it. My energy will go into making the decision. I will waste none on second thoughts. My life will not be an apology. It will be a Statement!
In the future when I am tempted to ask “Why Me” I will immediately counter with the answer, Why Not Me?
Challenges are gifts, opportunities to learn! Problems are the common threads running through the lives of great men and women. In times of adversity, I will not have a problem to deal with; I will have a choice to make. My thoughts will be clear. I will make the right choice. Adversity is preparation for Greatness! I will accept this preparation.
Why Me? Why Not Me? I will be prepared for something Great.
I accept responsibility for my past. I control my thoughts. I control my emotions. I am responsible for my success.

Were You Born Rich?

Yes, we are all born rich. This does not say we are born with a huge bank acount. We are all born with the ability to create wealth. The challenge comes with life. Life has a way of throwing us curve balls.
So what can we do? Read, get informed and change the way you think.
I recommend Bob Proctor; his books have helped me through those issues. His new book covers the topic of Being Born Rich.

The Attractor Factor

I think this guy has the right idea.
There's something about how he puts it all together that really resonates with me.
Some might think of him as the extreme to law of attraction, but I think if your going to do something you should do it all the way.

Life With Purpose

The Power of Choice.
The power of choice is a gift. A gift given to us at birth. We are born with the ability to choose. In every moment of our lives we have to make choices. "Do I want to do this, that or the other". The opposite of choice is to react. To have a default action to any response one might encounter.
Let's think about it. There's always that person in your life, that you encounter every day, that gets you in a terrible mood. They say the wrong things, they take the last cup of coffee, or your parking spot.
With that in mind, think about those days that your in a great mood. The sun is shinning, birds are chirping and the temperature outside is just right. That same person has no chance in getting you in a bad mood. Why? It's because you CHOOSE to stay in a good mood. Even though our day isn't always as we wish them to be, we still have the CHOICE to CHOOSE. I'm not saying that it's easy. I believe that being aware of it is a great start. If I am aware of the things going on in my mind then I can do something about it.
There was another situation in my life where I found myself passing judgement. I knew nothing about a person but yet I thought I didn't like that person. Was it because they reminded me of someone from the past? One day we ended up talking and I found out we had a lot in common. I'm glad I CHOSE to speak to her and still do. Everywhere that we look there are many reasons to be upset, paranoid, scared or judgmental. Everywhere we look there are reasons to be happy, grateful and appreciative. It's all just a choice away.

A Must Have

I'm sure that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't ask myself , "What am I doing here?" It used to consist of getting up, going to work, coming home and going to sleep. This can't be the reason why I was put on this earth. Life is too precious not to have purpose. Pupose is what gives me my drive. The knowing that my ultimate goal is attainable gives me pupose. But what is it that stops us? What gets in our path? Is it fear, lazyness, ignorance? For me it used to be FEAR. Fear of rejection, failure,or just being out of my comfort zone. Not many people like being out of thier comfort zone. There's no challenges in the comfort zone. You always know the next step and what the results are going to be. Dreams only come true when we realize that taking risks are an important part of life. If it weren't for people taking risks we would still be living in trees. Smart people take risks everyday. They get out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves with a deep belief of success. We are all capable of success. Of living our dreams. When we put our minds to it there's no saying what we are capable of. That's the tricky part. Our minds are filled with "I can't",and "I don'ts." We need to realize that life is filled with opportunities. Filled with reasons to learn and read. Life is a jouney not a destination. Live well and too the fullest. This is another book that I love. It's free!!!The Science of Getting Rich
