As you may have heard, Oprah is hosting a show dedicated to The Secret... She's invited Rhonda Byrne, the producer of The Secret, to be on the show, along with four of The Secret's teachers: Dr. Michael Beckwith, Jack Canfield, Lisa Nichols and James Ray. I've been a huge fan of "The Secret" since the first time I saw it a couple of years ago. It has changed my life!

Talk About Having A Vision!

Fortune magazine named Oprah Winfrey one of the 50 most powerful women in the world. She came from a life of adversity and broke free. I can remember her role in The Color Purple and how much she moved me. Oprah is a prime example of designing your path in life. She didn't allow life to dictate her journey, instead she kept her vision clear. We all need role models and I'm proud to have chosen her as mine!

What Do You Deserve?

There's never a right answer to a wrong question. So, what question should YOU be asking in 2007?
In my opinion, these are all WRONG questions:

• how can I get promoted at my job?
• how can I figure out how to save money on childcare?
• how can I get an extra weekend off?
• will I get a vacation this year?
• how can I get more overtime?

Those are unproductive questions, in fact.

Here are the correct questions:

• how can I quit my job and make more than my boss?
• how can I raise my own children instead of paying a 7-dollar=an=hour stranger to do it?
• how can I have all the free time I want?
• how many vacations do I want to take this year?(We took six this past year)
• how can I never work more than 25 hours a week?

That's what you should be asking. You are a powerful, beautiful, wonderful human being who has the ability to create whatever results you want in your life.And don't let anyone tell you any differently.

Need a plan?

• Unplug your TV for a month.
• Get your head into some good personal development.
• Watch the movie The Secret at least twice a month.
• Start a business.
• Get rich.
• Rescue a pet from the Humane Society.
• Forgive somebody.
• Heck, forgive EVERYBODY. Most of all yourself.

Are You on Autopilot?

Every day millions of people wake up to the alarm clock of life. They hit the snooze button and go on autopilot. Every moment and step of their day reflects those of the days past. Living a life by default is no way to live. It reminds me of The Matrix, how Neo made the choice to get away from the life he thought he was supposed to live.
A couple of years ago I attended seminars at Landmark Education. I walked away with the realization that I can design my own future. Since then I have thrusted my life in the direction I choose. If you have not seen "The Secret" plan on it soon for it will help you in every area of your life.

Part I - The Seven Decisions That Determine Personal Growth

1. The Buck Stops Here – I am responsible for my past and my future.

Never again will I blame my parents, my boss, or other employees for my present situation. Neither my education nor lack of one, my genetics, or the circumstantial ebb and flow of everyday life will affect my future in a negative way. If I allow myself to blame these uncontrollable forces for my lack of success, I will be forever caught in a web of the past. I will look forward. I will not let my history control my destiny. I accept responsibility for my past. I am responsible for my success. My decisions have always been governed by my thinking. Therefore, I am where I am today-mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially – because of how I think. Today I will begin the process of changing where I am –by changing the way I think.
My thoughts will be constructive, never destructive. My mind will live in the solution of the future. It will not dwell in the problems of the past. I will seek the association of those who are working and striving to bring about positive changes in the world. I will never seek comfort by associating with those who have decided to be comfortable.
When faced with an opportunity to make a decision-I will make one. I understand that God did not put in me the ability to always make right decisions. He did, however, put in me the ability to make a decision and then make it right. The rise and fall of my emotional tide will not deter me from my course. When I make a decision I will stand behind it. My energy will go into making the decision. I will waste none on second thoughts. My life will not be an apology. It will be a Statement!
In the future when I am tempted to ask “Why Me” I will immediately counter with the answer, Why Not Me?
Challenges are gifts, opportunities to learn! Problems are the common threads running through the lives of great men and women. In times of adversity, I will not have a problem to deal with; I will have a choice to make. My thoughts will be clear. I will make the right choice. Adversity is preparation for Greatness! I will accept this preparation.
Why Me? Why Not Me? I will be prepared for something Great.

I accept responsibility for my past. I control my thoughts. I control my emotions. I am responsible for my success.
